On September 2017 - March 2020 the CI had been implementing the project “Developing investigative and analytical journalism in Karabakh.”
The project was aimed to boost investigative and analytical reporting in Karabakh while also creating an English-language source of insights into Karabakh at which the trainees practiced their skills.
In the framework of the project a series of workshops were held by the journalist Mark Grigoryan, followed by production of 9 articles by the participants for an online analytical publication in English. Based on material that the trainees gathered in various regions of Nagorno-Karabakh, the stories were written by trainees under the guidance of Mark Grigoryan and edited by CI staff. They are available on the project's blog, www.reporting.am. The stories reveal the unknown sides of life in Nagorno-Karabakh, for example, how families integrate amusing traditions into modern lifestyles, how communities preserve their dialects, and how the Internet affects rural lifestyles.
